team-trips

The Mission Involvement Team believes in fulfilling the Great Commission and completing the task of the church, which is to preach the gospel to all nations. We believe in making disciples by building and strengthening relationships made during the trips, and enabling others to proclaim the gospel in their native country. We are currently sending teams to Kenya, Haiti, Guatemala, Romania, Uganda, and Kentucky. These trips include evangelism, hands on labor, and orphan care. They are always geared toward being open to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

James 1:27 - "Pure religion is this, to care for orphans and widows in their distress..."

Twice a year, Lighthouse sends out orphan-care/evangelism teams to minister in Guatemala. Trips are usually a total of 9 days, and consist of 10-15 team members, both male and female, ages 8-80! Time is spent in Guatemala City ministering in various orphanages, taking Bibles and bread to the city dump which many people call home, and taking relief items and the good news of Christ to those living in the ghetto. A couple of days are also spent traveling outside of the city, in order to minister to those in areas with the greatest material needs. Wherever we go, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus, loving as He loves, seeing as He sees, and proclaiming His name until the whole world hears!

For the trips, the teams often work with an organization called Hope Renewed International.
