* Kingdom Cove and TeamKIDS requirements are based on grade level. The nursery, Little Lambs and Young Chidren & Worship participant requirements are based on birthdates. The Children's Ministry Team asks that children have achieved the age or grade requirements by the start of the ministry season.
** Parents are asked to promptly pick up their children from either Little Lambs or Young Children & Worship and escort them to their Guppies or Kingdom Cove class between services. If this is not possible, please make arrangements with the teacher/leader ahead of time.
Infant Nursery
A quiet, loving environment designed for children from birth to "cruising" well.
Toddler Nursery
A place where children can explore God's Word in a safe and loving environment.
Little Lambs
An atmosphere where children learn about God through interactive play and enjoy a Bible story lesson. Children are dismissed to Little Lambs from the adult service.
Young Children & Worship
What is your idea of worship? Why do you worship, and Whom do you worship? YC&W teaches children the answer to these questions. It involves helping children worship in a special place apart from the worshiping congregration so they become able to worship meaningfully with the congregation. This is not a Sunday School environment but a worship environment.
Children are dismissed from the adult service to YC&W.
Guppies/Jellyfish
Children ages 3 through Pre-K enjoy exploring the Bible in fun, age-appropriate ways that they’ll apply to life.
Kingdom Cove
A biblically-based educational program that embraces children's different learning styles in a multidimensional, rotating, learning environment. It is set up where the children study one lesson for five weeks using different experiences such as: drama, art, storytelling, Bible knowledge, dance, puppets, games and more. They travel each week from room to room with a Shepherd as their guide. The children are not just talked to for an hour, but they experience the story, which helps them retain the information and apply it to their lives more effectively.
TeamKID (Kids In Discipleship)
TeamKIDS is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and to grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKIDS – Bible stories, Scripture memory, missions, life application, and recreation – connect to teach life lessons to the kids.
Vacation Bible School
A week-long exploration of God's principles through song, crafts, games, Bible stories and memorization. This is generally held Monday through Friday morning during the second week of July.
Puppet Ministry Team
Presenting God's message utilizing fun and creative faith-based stories performed by our puppet friends.
Camp Scholarships
If you are a member, regular attender who has attended for 6 months or more, or have a child who has attended TeamKID consistently, Lighthouse Community Church would like to help send them to camp. Lighthouse will pay 30% of their camp tuition up to $100, for your child to go to camp. The camp needs to be a Bible believing Camp, such as, but not limited to Camp Geneva, Cran-Hill, Grace Bible Camp. For Camp Geneva, you need a voucher code which is available on the bulletin board down the Children's Ministry Hallway. The applications are also there. Please see Kim Vander Helm if you have any questions. Also, do you have non-church friends who would like to go to camp, but they need funding? Several scholarships are available from the Ellna Rotman Camp Fund. For more infromation, see this application.
