“THROUGH THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR DEVOTIONAL” – PASTOR STEVE DEMERS

Pastor Steve has completed editing his “Through the Bible in One Year” devotions and is making them available here on our website for members of Lighthouse and others.  God calls us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!” (II Peter 3:18).  As Jesus prayed to the Father shortly before going to the cross, He gave us this definition of “eternal life”:  “This is eternal life, that they know YOU, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).  God’s Word, including the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, is the only reliable source of truth concerning the one, true God, our Creator.

The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, “As for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (II Timothy 3:14-17).

Make the daily reading of God’s Word a priority in your life, praying for wisdom from the Spirit of God who inspired the writers, and you will discover the power of God to be “conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29).
