Day 1: “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the Son of Man that you care for Him?” – Psalm 8:4 Excellent first day out in the village of Zaragoza. We were able to build 5 houses! There were 21 at the health education clinic, and 10 kids at VBS. Most importantly, we were able to simply share the love of Christ through smiles, service, broken conversations, playing with the children, and many other ways we will never know this side of heaven! Please continue to pray!!
Day 2: “We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.” – I Thessalonians 2:8 Such a great second day in the village. We had 16 children at VBS, 21 women participating in the health clinic, and completed 5 1/2 houses. We have really seen the work of the Lord and have experienced so many “God sightings” in just the few days we’ve been here. Please continue to pray for guidance, strength, the hearts of the people we meet, our hearts and the safety for all the people.
Day 3: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has annointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” – Luke 4:18 Today we had a very relaxing day full of group bonding. We went to a great service at church in Zaragoza (the town we’ve been working in), where Pastor Kent preached. After church we to to Antigua where we ate a great lunch and did some shopping at the market. Also, Glendy, Kimberly, and Marina were able to join us for church and spend time with us in Antigua!
