Living in a world where people are more willing to believe a lie than they are to hear the truth, wisdom, strength and courage are needed to continue to speak truth, to encourage those who “have been given ears to hear,” and to instruct those who are still deaf, praying that the Spirit of God might use His Word to give them a new heart, a new mind and a new will, moving them to confess their sin, to believe in Jesus Christ, and be saved from His coming Judgment. Deception has been part of the human experience since the Garden of Eden. In the days of the prophet, Isaiah, God said, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20). Having confronted Isaiah with his own sin, God cleansed him and then commissioned him to go speak God’s truth to Israel, but telling him that the majority of the people would reject his message and perish, as they were destined to do. The truth must be proclaimed, whether or not most people believe the truth we speak! God uses His Word to accomplish His purpose. God’s Word carries with it the power to save, and the power to confirm His judgment upon those who reject it. In this series of messages you will hear truth about the spiritual realm … truth that most people reject. What is YOUR response? As you receive God’s Word as truth, you will be equipped to share His truth with others, with the prayer that they, too, may believe and be saved. Our God is able “to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. To HIM be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen!” (Ephesians 3:20-21).
