“Satisfaction” means many different things to different people, yet most people are searching for an “inner satisfaction” and have no idea where to find it. Some call it “happiness,” while others may call it “contentment.” Still, others call it a “high,” a feeling that comes and goes and is dependent on their present circumstances or on getting what they think they want. Almost always it is based upon a physical craving that longs to be … well, “satisfied.” The truth is, every human being has a spiritual hunger that can only be satisfied by Jesus Christ!! God created people to be spiritual beings and it is only when/if you are born again by His Spirit and see Jesus for who He is and then believe in Him, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross to reconcile you to God … it is only then that your spirit will be satisfied! When Jesus told those who were following Him that HE was “the Bread of Life come down from heaven,” most of them did not understand. This was the “low point” of Jesus’ ministry as many who had been following Him left. They walked away from the only One who could satisfy their true hunger … a hunger they didn’t even know they had! Are YOU searching for some “thing” to satisfy the longing of your soul? You will find nothing in this world that can or will do it. Come to the Father through Jesus Christ and discover the food your soul hungers for!!
