To God Be Glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus

“Christianity” is not just another religion that gives you some rules to live by; it is a relationship with the one true God that changes you from the inside out and that therefore affects the way you think and act every day. Every relationship you have in your life is affected by your desire to live in a way that honors Christ. As the very Spirit of Christ lives within you, living as a servant to others becomes easier because you know you are serving Christ! Are you there? Families are being torn apart all around us because of selfishness, but knowing, loving and serving Jesus can change all of that! As Paul continues to explain what it means to “walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called” (Ephesians 4:1), he speaks a word to children and specifically to fathers. He then speaks to servants and masters (employees and employers). In each case, God calls us to remember that we are servants of Christ and as such we are accountable to Him. What are you doing with the life our Father in heaven has entrusted to you? Are you using every opportunity to shine God’s light into the darkness all around you, or are you spending your time being angry and frustrated, complaining that life is too hard? Here is an opportunity to take an inventory of your life and of your willingness to trust God and to live as a servant of Christ in your family, at work and in all your other relationships. He is Lord!!!
