What do you do, where do you go, when the trials of this life become just that? In today’s current conditions, the world says a lot of things about safety and health, to get through these trying times. However, God’s Word tells of so much more. Through the plans of Sovereign God, the strength of his Spirit, and the victory found only in Christ, you have all you need to overcome trials of all kinds, not just a pandemic, but any life issue that imposes itself upon you. It might be financial struggles, family issues, job loss, or even worse: persecution. The Bible tells of great trials that believers will face if we are going to follow after Christ, and yet through all of this, believers have a hope that goes beyond this world, and that hope is in Jesus — Savior, overcomer, conqueror, victorious — Jesus! The world says to cover your face and wash your hands to stay physically healthy. God instructs us to stay spiritually healthy in all areas of our lives, by means of His Word and Spirit. The world says to stay at home, and social distance ourselves, and we will make it through. God says to ‘not lose heart’ because of troublesome times to come, for only Christ has overcome the world, and His Spirit has given us everything we need for life and godliness.
