There is a common thread in the heart of mankind, and that thread is one of a desire to work our way toward a form of salvation. Since sin entered the heart of man in the Garden of Eden, mankind has desired to work its way toward salvation, but always in our own way rather than truly following God. This has resulted in countless false religions, that all fail to bring salvation to anyone. This is where Christianity is different! Where false religions say, “do this”, Christianity says, “God did it for us!” Because God has provided the means of salvation for His people, we are now all called to rest in Christ, and to live for Him, rather than live for ourselves!
