REVIVAL! Fanning into Flame the Gift of God That is In You!
Reading about the “marriage supper of the Lamb” in John’s “Revelation” can seem like a fairy tale. After reading about the horrible judgment of God upon the earth and upon most of mankind prior to Jesus’ return, the scene rapidly changes as John hears the voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out in praise to God … “HALLELUJAH!!” It seems like a fairy tale until you understand that if you are one of God’s chosen children YOU will be there! This is the wedding of the Church to Christ. It is the fulfillment of all the promises God has made since Adam and Eve were promised a Savior in the Garden of Eden! Most people today think little of the Church because they see it only as a religious organization, or even less, as a building. Those outside of the church reject the idea that there is anything “special” about people who call themselves “Christians,” or about the organization to which they belong. They are ignorant of God’s plan and of His purpose for the Church, Christ’s Body. But what of those inside the “church?” There seems to be so much apathy and half-hearted devotion toward the assembly that God calls “the Bride of Christ!” We need REVIVAL!! It is only when you understand God’s purpose for the Church that you will see the beauty of the Bride and be moved by His Spirit to rejoice in being part of her! The marriage supper of the Lamb and His Bride cannot be far away. Will you devote yourself and the life you have in Christ to doing your part to prepare the Bride for the wedding??
