The words of an old hymn declare, “This is my Father’s world; O let me ne’er forget, that though the wrong seems oft so strong, GOD is the Ruler yet!” In the end, evil will not win!! Over and over the prophets speak of the coming “day of the LORD.” Their references to this day point clearly to a horrible time of severe judgment, when God pours out His wrath upon the peoples of the nations of the earth; upon all who have not believed in or worshiped Him, the one true and only God! While the wrath of God has been revealed in various ways throughout the centuries, the “day of the LORD” wrath is far more comprehensive and is connected to the unbelief of those on the earth who have continued to reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ and so reject God Himself. These have replaced the worship of the one true God with the worship of the Antichrist, and so will receive the judgment they deserve. In revealing His just judgment, God upholds the honor of His Name and of His Son Jesus Christ. This time of judgment on the earth is a prelude to the eternal judgment that is to come upon all who reject God’s revelation and His offer of salvation through faith in the Savior, Jesus. God’s wrath is just, and in pouring it out He upholds His glory in the sight of all mankind and the entire host of heaven. God has revealed these things to those who believe in order to assure us that justice will be done and evil will not win! By His grace, we who believe will overcome and will inherit His kingdom!!!
