“WE EXIST TO PROCLAIM THE REIGN OF JESUS CHRIST OVER ALL THINGS; GLORIFYING AND ENJOYING GOD, NOW AND FOREVER!”

1 – “The Parable of the Sower”

The Parables of Jesus

There are TWO groups of people in this world: those who are disciples of Jesus Christ and part of His kingdom, and those who aren’t. As Jesus taught His disciples, and also spoke to large crowds, He was continually pointing out the conflict between HIS kingdom and the “kingdom of this world.” Since the time of mankind’s fall into sin in the Garden of Eden, these two have been opposed to one another at every turn. Spiritual blindness and spiritual death plague the entire human race. Jesus came to teach the truth of His kingdom and to call some out of darkness into the light of His kingdom (Colossians 1:13). In His parables, Jesus taught those who were given ears to hear the truth about living as a citizen of HIS kingdom even as you live in THIS world! Few understood the meaning of His parables, but these things were written down not only for those who lived then, but for us who by God’s grace know Him today as we live in this world as disciples of Jesus. Learning more about the presence of God’s kingdom in His people will give you direction and guidance for your everyday life, while at the same time encouraging you and giving you strength to endure, knowing that Jesus will someday reign as King over all the earth! Our prayer WILL be answered … His kingdom WILL come and His will WILL be done, on earth as it is in heaven!! It is our task to sow the seed of His Word, trusting Him to produce the fruit of transformed lives in those who hear and believe.
