THIS Is Eternal Life!
We who believe in Jesus Christ have been called and sent by God to be ambassadors! To be an ambassador is to be sent to deliver a message, and as ambassadors of Jesus Christ, every believer has been sent to share the Gospel with those to whom God sends us. Being part of the Church, being a disciple of Jesus Christ, means that we have been commissioned and empowered to talk to other people about Jesus! But God does not leave it up to us to come up with what we want to say, or what other people want to hear. The message God gives us to proclaim is what HE says about Jesus, about salvation, and it is called the “GOSPEL” … GOOD NEWS!! People need to hear about Jesus, about His death, resurrection, and ascension, about His payment for sin on the cross, about His victory over death and about His coming again. We today live in what the Bible calls “the day of salvation” (II Corinthians 6:2). Only God knows how long it will be until Jesus returns and judgment falls upon all who have not believed. Until then our Father is using the Gospel of Jesus Christ to call people to repent and believe! And it is our privilege and responsibility, as those who have heard the good news and by God’s grace believed in Jesus, to be His instruments to spread the good news. When the Master comes, may He find us so doing!!
