THIS Is Eternal Life!
Imagine thinking you are wiser than God! Such thinking is a foolish endeavor that leads countless people away from the only source of true wisdom. Of course, few people would admit to thinking they are wiser than God, yet they live each day boasting in their supposed wisdom by ignoring God and His Word. God has revealed Himself and the way of life in His Word, but without His Spirit, most people stumble around in the darkness. This is why Paul and others determined to preach and teach nothing but truth from God, beginning with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We must do the same today! Being “smart” and being “WISE,” are not the same. We have “smart” phones and “smart” TV’s and “smart” this and that, but without God’s wisdom people can’t even tell you where we came from, why we are here or where we are going! Without the Spirit of God all people are spiritually dead and are unwilling and unable to understand God’s grace and love in Jesus Christ. God has chosen to reveal Himself to some and then to reveal His power and wisdom through us by His Spirit. Born again and empowered by the very Spirit of God, the “mind of Christ,” we who believe know and understand the things of God and are sent into the world to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord!” (I Corinthians 1:31).
