“WE EXIST TO PROCLAIM THE REIGN OF JESUS CHRIST OVER ALL THINGS; GLORIFYING AND ENJOYING GOD, NOW AND FOREVER!”

7 – The Lordship Of Christ!

Stand Alone Sermon

Most believers would confess that they long for a closer, stronger, walk with God. What they are saying is they desire to mature in their faith. Maturity will never happen until we acknowledge Christ as Lord in all areas of our lives. It is easy for a Believer to confess Christ as their Savior because God has done all of the work. God has called us, arranged all of the events, opened our eyes, and placed His Spirit in us, to bring us to a point that we confirm His call on our lives. And it can be easy to see Christ as Lord of all. The Bible is full of evidence to the reign of Christ over this world, and eventually on this earth. However, as long as we still live in this flesh we will struggle with acknowledging Christ as Lord IN our lives. Selfishness, pride and other sins, along with the temptations of this world, fight for lordship within us. However, as redeemed, called-out, children of the King we are not left as victims of this world, but have been given, by God, weapons that break down spiritual strongholds that keep us captive. This frees us and gives us what we need to fully trust Christ and to submit to His authority over all things, great and small, in our lives, which leads to a stronger, more mature faith in Him.
