REVIVAL! Fanning into Flame the Gift of God That is In You!

“Freedom,” to most people, means being “free” or able to do whatever you want to do. The problem with that idea or definition of freedom is the failure to take into account the reality of the sinful nature with which we are born and that holds so many in bondage to the flesh and its desires. Controlled by the flesh, those who are not born again by the Spirit of God cannot even desire to please God! The flesh wants what it wants, and the result is all sorts of sinful, destructive, addictive behaviors that produce untold grief and agony and sorrow to those who have no power to overcome the flesh. Enter Jesus!! Jesus came to bring life to His sheep and to set us free from both the guilt and the power of sin to enslave us. Because the flesh continues to war against the Spirit who is at work within all who believe, it is easy to grow weary and to give in to the temptations all around us, but God calls us to PURITY! He is able and willing to revive us as we draw near to Him, eagerly seeking to BE what He calls us to be and to DO what He calls us to do! Motivated to honor God and eager to experience the joy of TRUE freedom, the freedom to love and obey our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, purity becomes our goal and our desire. I now WANT to be like Jesus!! If that is the desire of your heart, may God use His Word today to produce within you a vision of “the freedom of purity” as you live for the glory of our Savior Jesus Christ!!
