We could us a little GOOD news these days! Everyone wants to know WHEN life can return to “normal,” when things will be the way they used to be. We in the Church are called to proclaim good news. So what is our message? Jesus is coming back!! But wait, doesn’t that mean judgment on all who do not believe in Him? Yes, but it means salvation and life to all who do! You see, the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has never been good news for everyone. Even John 3:16 is not good news for everyone. “ … that whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish …” Everyone who does not believe perishes, faces the just judgment of God. We live in a time and in a nation where the majority of people around us are living in utter and total rebellion against God. The signs are all around us that we or our children or grandchildren may well be the last generation to live on the earth prior to Jesus’ return. Should we ignore those signs or should we warn those who do not know Christ and urge them to repent and believe in Him and so be saved from God’s coming wrath and judgment? How do we prepare for what lies ahead and still proclaim the good news for those who by His grace believe in Jesus Christ? This is not a time for the faint-of-heart or for those unwilling to acknowledge the present and coming judgment of God upon mankind. It is a time to know what God tells us in His Word about these days and to respond in faith and obedience to Him, our only Sovereign and Lord. “As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” Are you ready???
