The grave is not “the final resting place” of the children of God! In the words of Job, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God!” (Job 19:25-26). God’s plan of salvation will reach its final goal when our bodies are raised imperishable and we become wholly conformed to the image of Christ, in true righteousness and holiness!! All that God has done, is doing and will do leads to our final destiny, where we will live with God, beholding His glory and rejoicing in His presence! It is this sure and certain hope that we now embrace by faith as we live in this world. Our eyes have been opened to see His kingdom in the reign of Jesus Christ over all things for the Church, His Body. We know we are not alone and that our lives have purpose as “we exist to proclaim the reign of Jesus Christ over all things; glorifying and enjoying God, now and forever!” This is our calling, this is our vision, this is our mission and the very purpose of our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. The HOPE we possess does not rest upon the changing tides of human opinion or human effort. GOD will do what He says He will do and will fulfill every promise in Christ. We shall behold His glory! We shall dwell in His presence, and we shall live with Him forever in a new heaven and a new earth!! THIS is our destiny as “saints,” as “holy ones,” as those made perfect through the blood of Christ shed on the cross. Oh, amazing grace, how sweet the sound!! THIS I KNOW!!!!
