The greatest blessing in this life is submitting our life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We should all desire to know Jesus and for others to know Him as well. Oftentimes, for better or worse, our evangelism efforts can look a lot like a Joel Osteen book, “Come to know Christ and live your best life now!” Which in some ways, is true. Knowing God is living your best life but in a Spiritual sense, not in an “everything is going to be perfect from here on out” sense. When becoming disciples of Jesus Christ, do you consider what that requires of you? When sharing the Gospel with others, do you make them aware of the cost involved in becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ? Have you ever considered the requirements given by Jesus when He explained the cost of being His disciple? Everything you have, everything you are, becomes His! You will be expected to pick up your cross and die to yourself. There is much work to do and many battles to be fought, for His Kingdom and His glory! We shall continue to pursue being the salt and light to the world, which desperately needs the Light of the world, Jesus Christ!
