“HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN, INDEED!!” We rejoice this morning in the victory of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, over sin and death! What will you do tomorrow, next week, next month, when facing unexpected and unwanted trials or suffering? Will you remember what we celebrate today? Does the truth of Jesus’ resurrection reach beyond today and into the future, giving you hope and strength to endure, to persevere, to keep trusting in the God who sent His Son to be your Savior and your Lord? Suffering is a common human experience and yet few recognize that suffering is accompanied by a common temptation: the temptation to ask, Why?” Job faced extreme suffering and at least temporarily gave in to the temptation. After having accepted his suffering and trusting in his sovereign God, through the conversation with his “friends” he began to wonder why all these things were happening to HIM! Have you ever been there? Are you there now? You need to know that hope is needed to endure suffering and that hope is found in Jesus’ resurrection and His victory over sin and death! When you put your faith in the finished work of Jesus you can know that He is with you now and you will be with Him forever in a place where there is no more suffering, pain or death! Hallelujah! He has won the victory for all who believe!!
