While many people are talking about Jesus’ return today, there is a shocking lack of knowledge about and even a resistance to what God actually says about it in His Word, the Bible. Some well-meaning preachers and teachers merely repeat the ideas and theories of those who taught them, believing that since there is nothing we can do about the coming events, it is not worthwhile to take the time to study these things. Others are false teachers who are unwittingly instruments of Satan to distract the Church from God’s call to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ with urgency, instead lulling the unsuspecting to sleep with a message of “unity and love and tolerance” that embraces all religions and ignores God’s warnings of coming judgment. Jesus rebuked the Jews in His day for not recognizing the “signs of the times” (Matthew 167:3). He asked, “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8). God told Daniel that the words God had revealed to him were “shut up and sealed until the time of the end” (Daniels 12:9). Then He Said, “None of the Wicked Shall understand, BUT those who are wise WILL understand” (Daniel 12:10). Wisdom comes from God and He promised that those who are wise would understand when these things begin to unfold, just as God said they would! God is speaking through His Word today to those who seek Him and who receive wisdom as His Spirit works within us. “He who has an ear, let him hear!”
