The Trinity is an ancient doctrine essential to the Christian faith, and incredibly special in the hearts and minds of believers. And yet, for many, it can be a confusing doctrine they would rather accept but not dwell upon. However, this truth of God, that He is unique in being one God in Three Persons, is not simply a doctrine Christians ought to accept, but a reality that, when dwelt upon and better understood, can help us to praise God, giving Him glory, in new and wondrous ways! In today’s text we will look at what the Apostle Paul has explained to us about the Trinity from Ephesians 1:3-14, and see both the incredibly Oneness of God in His goal to save us, and then the amazing roles each individual Person of the Trinity plays in bringing about this salvation of His people! While not an entire systematic look at what each Person does in our salvation, we will see that the Father administrations our salvation, the Son accomplishes it, and the Holy Spirit applies it, so that together our God saves us from beginning to end, all in His power, and all to His glory!
