“As go the fathers, so go the families, so goes the church and so goes the nation!” In a day when many are attempting to eliminate all distinctions between men and women, God points to the responsibility of godly men to lead their families to Him. It is not an easy task, but we are not alone. For many, God places alongside them a godly wife, and together they find strength in the Lord … because THEY are not alone! Our Father in heaven promises to continue the work He began in us when we were born again by His Spirit and the “sword of the Spirit,” with which we do battle for the Lord, is His WORD!! The Spirit of God within believers is our Teacher and His Word is our “textbook” in which is revealed the pathway for life and godliness through faith in Jesus Christ. We are not alone! On this “Father’s Day, ”whether you are a father, a mother or a child (no matter what your age), you need to grow spiritually, to learn God’s truth and to apply it to every area of your life, in order to fulfill the role God has given to you as a child of God, and in doing so to discover the joy of obedience to God’s Word. “Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!” (Luke 11:28).
