Without Jesus you’re DEAD!! That sounds like a harsh statement, but it’s true. Every person who has been born into this world since Adam and Eve has been born spiritually dead; and will leave this world both physically and spiritually dead, only to exist for eternity under the judgment of God. Enter JESUS!! “I AM the resurrection and the life!” Jesus radically changes the lives of those who by God’s grace are born again by His Spirit and receive NEW LIFE in Christ! We who believe are “new creations,” and both our present and our future look radically different than the present and future of those who continue in their unbelief. Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die” (John 10:25-26). When faced with physical death those without Jesus have no hope because they have no spiritual life. But for those who have new life in Christ, physical death brings a change in location, as their spiritual life continues. And there’s more!! God promises to raise even our physical bodies from death and to transform them into perfect, immortal bodies in which our spirits will dwell for eternity in His presence. We will live in a new world where there is no more death, no more crying, and no more pain. And until then we who believe in Jesus, who know Him as “the resurrection and the life,” live with courage and boldness, for we live with the sure and certain hope of eternal life in the very presence of God! Without Jesus you’re dead, but with Jesus, you are ALIVE – now and forever!!
