The events described in John’s “Revelation” are not merely a possibility. These things WILL happen just as God says they will, for His purposes. In the sight of all the nations and peoples of the earth, God will pour out His just wrath upon all who have rejected Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. As “the day of the Lord” began with the judgments of the “seven trumpets,” it continues now with “the bowls of God’s wrath” being poured out upon those who remain on the earth following the Rapture. As the seventh trumpet is sounded, the third “woe” comes upon the earth, which is the seven last plagues. These must take place before Jesus returns to earth because the sixth bowl includes the gathering of the nations together for the battle at Armageddon. It is then that Jesus returns with the armies of heaven! Even as God sends such severe judgment upon the earth, the stubborn refusal of mankind to submit to God’s rule is revealed as people continue to refuse to repent or to glorify God. As the nations gather for battle and God pours out the final bowl of His wrath, Jesus will return to defeat the Antichrist and all who follow Him. The END … is near!
