“You Are My Witnesses!”
Talking about the love of God without talking about the grace of God makes no sense. If God loves people who are, by nature, “loveable,” then grace is not necessary. This is the thinking of most people who imagine a loving God who treats everyone the same and who showers His love and blessings on people indiscriminately. This is the message that most people consider to be the “gospel.” It has little to do with “salvation,” but rather seeks to make people “aware” of this loving being (“God”) who will make your life better if only you give “Him” (“it”) a chance. That’s hardly good news in a world that is dying of despair, but that is the message of many in the church. “Just know that God loves you and believe your life can be better! You can do this!!” The true Church, however, (made up of those who are truly disciples of Jesus Christ), comes with a different message. It begins with grace. It begins in the heart and mind of the God who determines to show “undeserved favor” to a remnant of the human race whom He has chosen for Himself. Seeing the inability of mankind to remain in the state of perfection in which they were created, and their resulting unwillingness to worship God or to obey Him, God determined to show grace to SOME through His Son Jesus Christ and to save these from His just judgment. GRACE is God’s choice for His ones and is the place where the Gospel begins. You cannot know God’s love without receiving His grace. Our message begins here. May you understand today that God’s grace truly is amazing!!!
