Romans: “The Gospel of Jesus Christ: Hear It! Believe It! Live It!”

When you hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and believe it, you need to understand that this was part of God’s plan for your life before you were born … in fact, before the world was created!! God ordained the circumstances of your life and drew you to Himself through the work of His Spirit and through the hearing of His Word. It was GOD who gave you new life in Christ, giving you a new heart, a new mind, and a new will, and so moving you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and acknowledge Him as Lord. You are a new creation in Christ! But after all of this, many believers fail to ask the question, “Why?” “Why did God save ME?” “What is His plan for my life?”  People may ask that question, but when wondering about God’s plan they think only about personal issues, like what their vocation will be, what education they should pursue, where they should live, will they be married, have children, etc. Few consider that God’s plan for every true believer is centered around their relationship with Him and their involvement in the mission He has entrusted to the Church, His people. God’s plan for you who believe is to use you for His glory as you testify, as you tell others about Him, about His kingdom, about Jesus and the cross, about life, lived with and for God, about the joy, peace, hope, and freedom that can be found only in Jesus!!  Your life with Christ, your “spiritual” life, is not a “part” of your life … something you add on when you have time!  It is who you are and why you are here!! What priority does your relationship with God, your faith in Jesus, and your service to Him currently have in your life? Has life in this world crowded these things out of your mind, your heart, and your life? God is calling us to build our lives around Him, committing ourselves to labor together to make Him known and proclaim the Gospel until Jesus comes! As Jesus said, let us be about our Father’s business!!
