We’re In This Together!
We all know that people who are willing to die for their “faith” can be a dangerous threat to other people, so when we talk about being willing to die for Christ we have to be careful to explain what that means. There is a stark contrast between those who believe killing themselves in order to kill others is somehow pleasing to their “god,” and those who believe that running the risk of being killed by others for proclaiming the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is pleasing to GOD, the real God, our Creator! To be willing to die for Christ is different than being eager to become a martyr to gain rewards in “paradise.” Few of us may be called to make that choice, to choose to give our lives to proclaim the Gospel, but all of us must make another choice … a choice to trust God in every circumstance and to decide that no matter how difficult it may sometimes be, I will live for Christ!! Living as a disciple of Jesus in this world in the year 2020 will have its blessings and its challenges, but whether in life or in death, our Father in heaven calls us to live by faith in Christ, knowing that His Spirit lives within us and we are here to glorify Him, our Savior and our King! Living by faith leads to joy and peace as we rest in our loving and sovereign God!!
